LGBT Drop In
The Monday Drop-in is an informal weekly gathering for LGBT people aged 16+, their partners, family and friends. The Drop-in takes place 5.30-8pm. Come along for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat in a friendly, relaxed, welcoming environment.
The Drop-in time can be used to browse our library of resources, use the internet, find out about the programme of events happening at the centre or set up a 1-1 appointment with a member of staff for a later date.
There are often other events that run alongside the drop-in, including community safety discussions and art making opportunities. Regular monthly events include:
Police Surgery (1st Monday of the month 6.30-7.30pm), an opportunity to seek advice, raise concerns around safety issues, report incidents, or make any comments on policing in your area to Barry Darling, the Lothian and Borders Police LGBT Liaison Officer.
The Spiritual Space (3rd Monday of the month 6.30-7.30pm) Maxwell Reay, NHS Mental Health Community Chaplain, offers a supportive space for individuals and groups to discuss and develop ideas of spirituality and identity. Suitable for people of all faiths or no faith at all.
If you wish to find out more about the Monday drop-in, or would like to speak to a member of staff before attending, please contact Alison on alison@lgbthealth.org.uk or Claire on claire@lgbthealth.org.uk or telephone the Centre on 0131 523 1100.
