Room Hire

At the LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing on Howe Street, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs for room hire. If you need a meeting space, are running a training event or your AGM, this beautiful building offers you a flexible venue right in the centre of Edinburgh.

The Centre has three different rooms available for hire, which we will arrange to suit your requirements. The facilities are fully supported with:

• Use of flipchart easel, paper and pens

• Use of laptop and overhead projector

• Refreshments (including all tea, coffee and biscuits)

• Outside catering (on request)

Training Room

This very spacious room offers great flexibility and can be set up in a variety of styles to suit your needs. Let us know if you want theatre layout, a horseshoe shape - with or without tables - boardroom style or just with a circle of chairs. Depending on layout, this room can provide seating for up to 20 people.

The Hub

This room offers comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere, which makes this an ideal venue for any informal occasion or for use as a lunch or breakout space during your training event. Resources available in the Hub are a computer with internet connection, TV, video and DVD players. This peaceful meeting space is suitable for groups of up to 15 people.

Syndicate Room

Small and comfortable, this room serves as a convenient breakout room for the training room, or as a meeting space for small groups. It is serene and undisturbed, perfect for groups that need a quiet meeting space. It can seat up to 5 people.

Room Rates 2011

Daily rate provide you with access from 8.30am to 5.30pm and includes a resource pack of flipchart easel, pads and pens. Laptop and data projector can be hired at £15 per day. Minimum booking of 2 hours.

If you require our rooms outside of office hours or at weekends we charge an extra 25% to cover staff costs.

How to find us

The Centre is located at 9 Howe Street about 0.5 miles from Princes Street.

By bus

Bus routes 23, 24, 27, 29 and 42 (Lothian Buses) and 13 (Edinburgh Coach Lines) all stop within a few minutes of Howe Street.

By train

The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley, which is about a 10 minutes walk from the Centre. When you come out of the train station turn left on Princes Street until you reach Frederick Street on your right. Turn right into Frederick Street and walk straight on across George Street and Queen Street until Frederick Street becomes Howe Street. The Centre is situated on your right at Number 9.
