Who are our events for? And how can you keep abreast of all our events?
We run a varied programme of social events, groups and courses. Unless otherwise stated, all of our events and activities are open to, and inclusive of, anyone who identifies as part of the LGBT community. You’ll find a listing of events in our printed quarterly programme, which is widely distributed across libraries, community centres and venues in Edinburgh and the Lothians, and Glasgow. Otherwise the best way to keep abreast of all our events is by subscribing to our monthly e-bulletin Village Voices. You can also follow us on Twitter or Facebook.
Are venues accessible?
In Edinburgh, many of our smaller events are held at our base at the LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing (9 Howe Street, EH3 6TE). Regrettably the Centre is not accessible as it has 6 steps from street level. However many of our events are held elsewhere and we indicate where venues are fully wheelchair accessible. We aim to accommodate wherever possible, so please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your access needs in relation to any event or activity you are interested in.
Are events family friendly?
Some of our events are family friendly and people of any age may take part, otherwise all events are for those aged 16 years and over. We also ask you to respect that all events held at the Edinburgh LGBT Centre are alcohol free.
Do events have a cost? Do they require booking?
Unless otherwise stated, all events are free and no booking is required. Where we state ‘booking preferred’, it is helpful to know if you are planning to attend an event but you can also just turn up.
