Outreach & Support Worker (full time)

Salary             AP4 (27-30) £23,082 - £25,531

The post holder will develop an outreach and support service to provide guidance, advice and advocacy to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, improve accessibility of mainstream services and build capacity to support LGBT people facing multiple discrimination. In addition the post holder will coordinate the delivery of the Lothian LGBT Helpline (currently operates Wednesdays 12.30-7.00pm) and work to improve sexual health knowledge and outcomes for LGBT people

The post holder will work in partnership with external agencies to expand the organisation's community safety work, promote the use of remote reporting and ensure LGBT victims of hate crimes have access to support. The post holder will coordinate the organisation's work with transgender communities, with particular emphasis on increasing access to health, social care, housing and employment.

Notes:

The post holder will be based at the LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing (Howe Street, Edinburgh).
