Why your support matters

LGBTQ+ people in Scotland continue to face higher rates of poor mental and physical health.

Many experience depression, anxiety, stress, discrimination, and isolation, with nearly two in five people saying they always feel lonely.

We’re here to respond to these challenges with care. We provide supportive, affirming services, create welcoming community spaces, and advocate for better health and equality for our community. With your support, we can reach even more people and help LGBTQ+ communities across Scotland feel safer, more connected, and able to thrive.

How to fundraise?

Whether that’s fundraising with your family, friends or colleagues, taking part in a sponsored event, setting up a fundraising page or running a giveaway on social media, there are lots of creative ways you can get involved to support our work.

We commit to fundraising that is legal, open, honest and respectful. To uphold these values, we will:

  • Explain how you can donate, and how to change or cancel a regular donation at any time
  • Respect your rights and privacy
  • Keep your data secure and handle it in line with GDPR
  • Communicate with you only according to your stated preferences

If you feel we have not met these standards, or if you think we could improve, please contact fundraising@lgbthealth.org.uk. We will respond to your complaint promptly and thoroughly.

Our complaints process is clear and easy to access. We will always explain the reasons behind our decisions.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take your complaint to the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel.
