Fundraise
Every pound you raise helps us provide vital support for LGBTQ+ people in Scotland.
Why your support matters
LGBTQ+ people in Scotland continue to face higher rates of poor mental and physical health.
Many experience depression, anxiety, stress, discrimination, and isolation, with nearly two in five people saying they always feel lonely.
How to fundraise?
Whether that’s fundraising with your family, friends or colleagues, taking part in a sponsored event, setting up a fundraising page or running a giveaway on social media, there are lots of creative ways you can get involved to support our work.

From our simple online giving page to our handy ‘in aid of’ logo, we can give you the tools to make fundraising simple so you don’t miss out on the fun!

Set up your branded fundraising page on JustGiving to make donating easy, and remember that many people continue to donate after you activity or event, so don’t be shy to share it on your socials!
When celebrating an important event in your life, you may want to make a positive difference to our work by asking friends and family give a donation rather than a gift. Please set up a page on our JustGiving profile page to make giving easier.
If you are on Facebook you could setup a birthday fundraiser in support of us. It’s very easy to start and your friends can donate in just a few clicks. No fees are charged so whatever your raise, we receive the full amount.
You can also setup a charity fundraiser on Instagram.
Keep someone’s memory alive by supporting a cause that mattered to them. You can direct people to our JustGiving page or setup a fundraising page of your own with a personal message.
In making a will, the people important to you will naturally come first. However, many people also like to take the time to think about remembering a charity or cause that they supported during their lifetime, or one that might have had a personal impact on them or someone they love.
It might be that a charity such as ours has helped you personally and you would like us to continue providing the same kind of help to others in the future. Or it could simply be because the services that we deliver are important to your community.
If you would like to discuss in confidence about leaving a gift to LGBT Health and Wellbeing, contact Natalie at natalie@lgbthealth.org.uk.

Our fundraising commitment
We follow all laws that apply to charities and fundraising, and we comply with the Fundraising Code of Practice.
We commit to fundraising that is legal, open, honest and respectful. To uphold these values, we will:
- Be clear about who we are and what we do
- Explain how you can donate, and how to change or cancel a regular donation at any time
- Respect your rights and privacy
- Keep your data secure and handle it in line with GDPR
- Communicate with you only according to your stated preferences
If you feel we have not met these standards, or if you think we could improve, please contact fundraising@lgbthealth.org.uk. We will respond to your complaint promptly and thoroughly.
Our complaints process is clear and easy to access. We will always explain the reasons behind our decisions.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take your complaint to the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel.
