Social events and groups

We offer a rolling programme of social activities promoting the positive mental health and emotional wellbeing of the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (including non-binary people), queer and intersex communities, including individuals questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. Improve your mental health and wellbeing and learn ways of looking after yourself with a programme of welcoming and supported self-management events, courses, workshops and peer groups in Edinburgh and Glasgow

Groups on offer usually includes a range of therapeutic and creative opportunities (including art therapy) where feelings, thoughts and identities can be safely explored. We also offer workshops that are briefer and more information based. These can sometimes be delivered in partnership with other organisations with specialist insight to particular topics.

Edinburgh

LGBT Space at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital
Every 3rd Friday of the month | from 1-3pm
At the Royal Edinburgh Hospital (Library in Mackinnon House), Morningside Terrace,
EH10 5HF (wheelchair accessible)

A monthly affirmative space for people who access mental health services. With regular visits from therapets. Open to inpatients, outpatients and people using services in the community. You are welcome to bring a support person if you need to.

Glasgow

Wellbeing Café
Every 1st Monday of the month | from 6-8.30pm
At the Flourish House, 25 Ashley Street, G3 6RD (wheelchair accessible)
A friendly monthly meetup. Have a cuppa, meet new people, find out what’s on, do a creative activity, it’s up to you. The second hour has an optional activity, for example, a discussion, a new relaxation technique, an info session. Come every time or just drop in.

Beyond our mental health social programmes, we also host a wide variety of social events that can help people to increase their confidence and offer additional opportunities to meet people with similar experiences.
